Thuo Gaming and AFL South Africa

The Salamander Company is pleased to announce that Thuo Gaming will become a Program Partner to AFL SA’s National Championships to be held in Potchefstroom, North West Province from Saturday 5th - Friday 11th July, 2008.   This will be the first year that the National Championships – a strategic element of the code’s talent identification and people and culture programs – will be held in South Africa.

Avedia Foods - Launch of ‘Mama’s Kitchen’ in the UK, USA and Africa

The Salamander Company will advise Avedia Foods on the launch and distribution of the Mama’s Kitchen product range.  The UK launch of the ‘Mama’s Kitchen’ product range will take place in London in late 2009 and will be followed by similar launches in the USA and a number of African countries.  The Salamander Company is responsible for all strategy, branding, marketing, packaging, advertising and on-the-ground activation.

ARTH - Strategic Alliances and Partnerships

AusAID, a Strategic Partner to AFL South Africa in 2008

The Salamander Company is excited to announce that AusAID (The Australian Government's Agency for International Development) will become a Strategic Partner to AFL South Africa in 2008.  AusAID will provide support to core strategic activities including the implementation of the S*DIAT (Sports Development Impact Assessment Tool) and execution of AFL SA’s 2008 People & Culture Program.

AFL and SuperSport

The Salamander Company is pleased to announce that African sports broadcaster SuperSport will broadcast a weekly AFL highlights package throughout the 2008 and 2009 AFL home and away season.  The finals series will also be shown culminating in the live broadcast of the AFL Grand Final in September.

SuperSport broadcast’s nine channels of sport across the African continent through the DSTV network.

ARTH AFL CHALLENGE ON FOX SPORTS 3 Australia

The Salamander Company is Producing the delayed broadcast of the ARTH AFL Challenge on Fox Sports 3 in Australia.  The game will go to air on Wednesday February 6th at 22:00 EST and again on Thursday February 7th at 10:00  EST.

ARTH AFL CHALLENGE & FOOTYWILD

The Salamander Company is proud to announce ARTH (The Association for the Reduction of Tobacco-related Harm) as a major partner for AFL South Africa’s footyWild programs from 2008.   ARTH will utilise various footyWild programs and properties as a vehicle to promote the harmful consequences of tobacco use and substance abuse to learners nationally.

footyWild is widely recognized as a new mainstream sport for the new South Africa underpinned by a quality participation model extending from the introductory skills program through to primary, secondary, regional, provincial and national leagues/competitions.  Based on Australian Rules Football (AFL) within its 10 year lifespan in South Africa the sport is quickly developing into an exciting alternative to more mainstream sporting pursuits such as Soccer, Rugby and Cricket.

The Salamander Company is also pleased to announce ARTH as a broadcast partner for the live broadcast of the ARTH AFL Challenge Saturday 2nd February, 2008.

AFL CHALLENGE LIVE ON SUPERSPORT 2

The Salamander Company will produce the live broadcast of the AFL Challenge taking place at SuperSport Park Johannesburg Saturday 2nd February 2008.  The game will be broadcast live on SuperSport 2, the first time an AFL game has been broadcast live on SuperSport, utilising local and specialist Australia crew.
