Pearl Valley

The Salamander Company has been engaged to procure major corporate partners for integration across a range of business and marketing platforms at Pearl Valley - home of the SA Open.

Pearl Valley Golf Estates is a Jack Nicklaus-designed, 170-hectare championship golf course (par 72) lying in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Drakenstein Mountains, it is one of the most visually spectacular golf courses in the world – and one of the most challenging in Africa.


V&A Waterfront - Major Corporate Partnerships & Signature Events

The Salamander Company has been mandated to procure long term major corporate partners for integration across a range of V&A Waterfront business and marketing platforms. A major focus will be on the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

In addition The Salamander Company will deliver appropriate events to the V&A Waterfront that support the execution of the V&A Waterfront Signature Event strategy.

The V&A Waterfront is situated between Robben Island and Table Mountain in the heart of Cape Town’s working harbour and is South Africa’s most visited destination (25 million visitors per year). Set against a backdrop of magnificent sea and mountain views a variety of exciting shopping and entertainment venues are intermingled with imaginative office locations, world-class hotels and luxury apartments in the residential marina.


AusAID and footyWILD

The Salamander Company is pleased to announce that AusAID (The Australian Government's Agency for International Development) will continue as a program partner to AFL South Africa in 2009. 

AusAID will provide support to core strategic activities including the execution of AFL SA’s 2009 People & Culture Program. This investment marks the third year of AusAID’s association with the growth and development of footyWILD in South Africa.


ESPN and AFL in Africa

The Salamander Company is pleased to announce that global sports broadcaster ESPN will broadcast one AFL match per week into Africa through the DSTV network.  

The Salamander company will work with ESPN to look at ways to enhance the broadcast of AFL matches in the region including the production of local television content focusing on the growth and development of footyWILD in South Africa.

ESPN is one of the leading multinational, multimedia sports entertainment companies and features a broad portfolio of multimedia sports assets.


BlueScope Steel Southern Africa Pty Ltd and footyWILD

The Salamander Company is pleased to announce that BlueScope Steel Southern Africa will partner with AFL South Africa’s footyWILD EXTREME program in the Western Cape. footyWILD Extreme is AFL South Africa’s open age competition.

Harm Reduction Association (HRA) and footyWILD PRIDE

The Salamander Company is pleased to announce that the Harm Reduction Association (HRA) will partner with AFL South Africa to produce a footyWILD PRIDE substance abuse prevention module to be piloted amongst staff and participants in the Western Cape.

HRA is a timely and essential force committed to the promotion of harm reduction policy and prevention campaigns relating to substance abuse, tobacco, illicit drugs and alcohol.

Mamas Kitchen

The Salamander Company, on behalf of client Avedia Foods, will produce all marketing collateral and packaging for the Mamas Kitchen product range – due to be launched in July 2009.  An attractive, user friendly website will go live in June 2009 to underpin Avedia’s online marketing strategy and provide options for the purchase of products online for customers.

NAB Cup in Cape Town

The Australian Football League (AFL) has confirmed that a NAB Cup game (AFL’s pre-season competition) will be staged at Sahara Park - Newlands, Cape Town, South Africa on Saturday 7th February 2009. 

The Salamander Company, local event producer, will be responsible for the coordination of a comprehensive media and marketing campaign around the game in addition to the management of a range of commercial activities and match day assets.

The Society of Family Health (SFH) "YouthAIDS' program

The Salamander Company has been engaged by The Society of Family Health (SFH), an affiliate of Population Services International (PSI), to produce a marketing and communications strategy and implementation plan aimed at increasing the profile and saleability of the “YouthAIDS” program to corporate partners in South Africa. 

PSI, the leading non profit social marketing organisation in the world, harnesses the vitality of the private sector to address the health problems of low-income and vulnerable populations in more than 60 developing countries.


Africa Cup Polo Tournament

The Salamander Company has been appointed to manage Marketing, Sponsorship, PR and Corporate Hospitality for the Africa Cup Polo tournament.  Held at the prestigious Inanda Club, the tournament showcases the best polo from across the continent, with teams competing from Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa from the 25th –27th July, 2008.
